Main Ingredients
- 1 large Onion
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- ½ teaspoon Cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper
- 2 cups Buttermilk
- 1 quart Vegetable oil for frying
1. Cut the onion into a blooming shape.
2. Mix flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
3. Dip the onion in buttermilk, then coat with the flour mixture.
4. Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
5. Fry the onion until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
6. Drain on paper towels and serve with dipping sauce.
