Candied Yams Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 4 cups Yams peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- ½ cup Butter melted
- ¼ cup Water
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, water, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt. Cook over medium heat until the mixture is smooth and the sugar is dissolved.
Place the yams in a baking dish and pour the sugar mixture over them. Stir to coat the yams evenly.
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the yams are tender and the glaze is caramelized.
Serve warm.
