Classic Jewish Chicken Soup Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 1 whole Chicken cut into pieces
- 4 medium Carrots peeled and sliced
- 2 stalks Celery sliced
- 1 large Onion quartered
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 8 cups Water
- 1 tablespoon Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
- 1 bunch Fresh Dill optional, for garnish
1. Place the chicken pieces in a large pot and cover with water.
2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, skimming off any foam.
3. Add carrots, celery, onion, and garlic to the pot.
4. Season with salt and pepper, then continue to simmer for another 60 minutes.
5. Remove the chicken from the pot, shred the meat, and discard the bones.
6. Return the shredded chicken to the pot and stir to combine.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh dill if desired.
