Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk whole or 2%
  • 2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 oz dark chocolate finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions 

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together the cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add about 2 tablespoons of milk and whisk until smooth and well combined.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and add the remaining milk, whisking constantly until hot.
  4. Once the milk is hot, add the chopped dark chocolate and whisk until melted and smooth.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Pour into mugs and serve immediately.
