Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 Turkey carcass leftover from Thanksgiving
  • 2 cups Carrots chopped
  • 2 cups Celery chopped
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 8 cups Water
  • 2 cups Leftover turkey meat shredded
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Dried rosemary

Instructions 

  1. 1. Place the turkey carcass in a large pot and cover with water.
  2. 2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 1.5 hours.
  3. 3. Remove the carcass and strain the broth.
  4. 4. Add chopped carrots, celery, onion, and garlic to the broth.
  5. 5. Simmer for another 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  6. 6. Add shredded turkey meat, salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
  7. 7. Simmer for another 10 minutes and adjust seasoning as needed.
