Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs frozen hash brown potatoes thawed
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5 oz
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Topping

  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes
  • ½ cup melted butter

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onions, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly into a baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the crushed cornflakes with the melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the potato mixture.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
