Instructions
In a saucepan, combine sugar, 1 cup water, and grated ginger. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
Strain the ginger syrup into a pitcher, discarding the ginger solids.
Add lemon juice and 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir well.
Serve over ice and enjoy!
