Lentil Ham Soup Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 1 cup lentils rinsed and drained
- 1 cup diced ham
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 carrots carrots sliced
- 2 stalks celery sliced
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon thyme dried
- 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
- ½ teaspoon black pepper or to taste
1. In a large pot, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
2. Add the diced ham and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
3. Stir in the lentils, chicken broth, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 30-35 minutes, or until lentils are tender.
5. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
