Posole Soup Recipe
A traditional Mexican soup made with hominy and meat, usually pork, and seasoned with various spices and garnishes.

Main Ingredients
- 2 lbs Pork shoulder cut into chunks
- 1 large Onion chopped
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 8 cups Chicken broth
- 2 cans Hominy drained and rinsed
- 2 teaspoon Oregano
- 2 teaspoon Cumin
- 2 tablespoon Chili powder
- to taste Salt and pepper
Garnishes
- 1 Lime cut into wedges
- 1 cup Cabbage shredded
- ½ cup Radishes sliced
- ½ cup Cilantro chopped
1. In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the pork and cook until browned on all sides.
2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until the onion is translucent.
3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 1.5 hours, or until the pork is tender.
4. Add the hominy, oregano, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for another 30 minutes.
5. Serve hot with lime wedges, shredded cabbage, sliced radishes, and chopped cilantro as garnishes.
