Seared Scallops Recipe
Quick and easy seared scallops with a golden crust and tender inside.

Main Ingredients
- 12 large sea scallops patted dry
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
1. Pat the scallops dry with paper towels.
2. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Add scallops to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until a golden crust forms.
5. Add butter to the skillet and baste the scallops for an additional minute.
6. Remove scallops from the skillet and serve immediately.
