Tostones Fried Plantains Recipe
Delicious and crispy fried plantains, perfect as a snack or side dish.

Main Ingredients
- 2 large green plantains
- 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
- to taste salt
Peel the plantains and cut them into 1-inch thick slices.
Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Fry the plantain slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
Remove the plantains from the pan and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Using the bottom of a glass or a flat utensil, press down on each plantain slice to flatten them.
Return the flattened plantains to the pan and fry for another 1-2 minutes on each side until crispy.
Remove from the pan, drain on paper towels again, and sprinkle with salt to taste. Serve hot.
