Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 fillets Catfish
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 4 Hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup Shredded lettuce
  • 1 Tomato, sliced
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Hot sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Mix cornmeal, flour, and Cajun seasoning in a bowl.
  2. 2. Dip catfish fillets in buttermilk, then coat with the cornmeal mixture.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the fillets until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. 4. Mix mayonnaise and hot sauce to make the sauce.
  5. 5. Spread sauce on hoagie rolls, add fried catfish, lettuce, and tomato slices.
  6. 6. Serve immediately.
